ASBA: Mentor Program [Update coming soon!]
The purpose of the After-School Band Academy [ASBA] is to provide our band students an opportunity for remediation, reinforcement or acceleration of their music skills in a small group setting or one on one with a Band Mentor from East Chapel Hill High School. Students can work on pass-offs, audition materials or any other number of music-related activities. This is like receiving a free lesson! Students are welcome to participate in every ASBA session or come when they can. All current Phillips band students are encouraged to participate.
ASBA sessions are held every Tuesday after school. Students report to the band room directly after school ends at 3:20pm for a silent study hall until the mentors arrive around 4:15 pm. Students should plan on bringing a snack. ASBA sessions should end around 5:00 pm. ASBA sessions will be supervised by Mr. Sample.
